…a BIG RIDE IN Gravelfoyle

Grand Old Dukes is a brand new long distance challenge in Gravelfoyle on Sunday the 12th of May 2024. Alongside this we will host a Social Saturday which includes a shorter 50 mile Demi-G.O.D ride as well as Fodder and Film options that evening.

When: 11th-12th May 2024

What: 111 miles non-competitive 1 day challenge climbing 10,000ft

Where: Cobleland, Aberfoyle, Scotland

Spring 2024 will see the proper launch of an exciting new 1 day challenge….A really big day out in Gravelfoyle! Inspired by the iconic Dukes Pass which takes you from Aberfoyle on the edge of the National Park into the very heart of the Trossachs we have created a brand-new monster route which is predominantly off-road. You’ll be rewarded with open vistas and panoramic views of our iconic lochs and mountains…and of course excellent riding.

Starting near Aberfoyle, you will pedal north taking in 111 miles of varied terrain over one massive single loop. You’ll experience our infamous Gravelfoyle superhighways, flowing fire roads, winding roller coaster trails, technical single tracks, punchy climbs and awesome descents – you’ll get it all!

Come prepared for a full day of adventure, grind, sweat and joy. We’ll keep you safe with our marshals and medics, fuelled with our feed stations and rewarded at the end of a glorious day with a completers medal. This is a challenge not a race - you make this event as competitive as you want…there will be no podiums but you will receive your time and ranking.

This stunning route will be suitable for both gravel bikes and xc mountain bikes. There will be generous cut-off times for each stage with riders redirected via the road. Too much for one pair of legs? We will have a few 2 and 3 person relay team entries available so that you can share the joy and the pain!

More info to come soon on all the social activities we plan to offer surrounding this celebration of all things Gravelfoyle.

What you get with your entry:

  • A beautiful waymarked and marshalled 111mile route around the lochs and glens of the Trossachs
